“Straight outta Frampton.”

Debut blog for me so go easy fellas, writing ain’t my cup of tea.

Bracknell away on the club coach and 10 o’clock leave was fucking early, so that meant a quick trip to Tesco for a couple of meal deals and a few tins of something fizzy. Onto the coach and the Excelsior one is certainly an upgrade on the normal one.

There was a good few of the usual faces on the bus and early part of the talk was about how old Aiden was going to be after he turned 11 last weekend at Swindon. He’d been 13 all week but was back to being 11 on Saturday. Me and Mitch said about Dorch winning the league at Ashford in ’87, what a fucking side that was, and how the Hole in the Wall pub at Waterloo ain’t changed in 40 years. And those shysters at Totton had a recount of the Trophy attendance and found 200 fucking extras from nowhere. They must have all been having a piss when they done a headcount.

Half hour visit to Fleet services as we were so bloody early saw Pete, a friend of Tommy’s, return with a Mary Berry Cook book rather than the usual snacks the rest of us had. Kate decided she wanted one as well but Del couldn’t be arsed to go back inside to Smith’s. Saved himself a few quid as well. We arrived at the ground at about 1, couldn’t park until about 20 past with setup there. Couldn’t quite make out where the ground was to start, many fans must have gone up and down this road countless times looking for the stadium, it’s tucked in the woods like a bleedin’ shed.

But it’s a decent if not small ground with a good bar so straight on it, Amstel for me and Kath and it had to be the coldest beer I’ve had, it literally hurt me teeth.

The team sheet arrived and we were lining up with a back five, something I’m not a fan of and with no Shaq or Robbo, I was really worried about our fire power. Charlie Crane and Lauren turned up and had booked in to the Premier Inn in Bracknell, the poor sods. I asked where Finn was and Charlie informed me he is “riddled with STIs”, so couldn’t make it. Get well soon, mush. Also, Craner could not get his head round the fact Vossy’s mate is called John-Paul, he kept asking him if his name was really John or Paul. Or that he had lived in Frampton. He got there in the end, just called him JP like the rest of us.

On to the match the Armistice Day service before was really good, then the game kicked off. Not a lot happened in the first half except that they scored the first time they got in behind us, and Olaf missed a great chance just before halftime. 1-0 down and hoping for a better second half.

Second half began better with Wes having a shot off the line early doors and we looked lively. Then Bracknell had a man sent off for a second yellow with 20 odd to play. Dawsy, Hastey and Samadi came on we had loads of the ball, and looked like we’d nick one soon enough. Behind the goal we was joined by Shaq and Robbo, and Craner was playing the bin as drummer weren’t there. Shaq is certainly enthusiastic, he told me an equaliser was coming literally 30 seconds before it did, Wes following up a palmed out shot from Dawsy, 1-1.

We had our backs up now and was really going for it. Injury time was six minutes and two into that, Samedi was hauled down rugby style and the outcome were a certain red as he was through on goal.

We had a couple of moments and had a free kick on the edge of the box right at the end, and I really thought we was going to nick it but just wasn’t to be. Things just aren’t dropping for us at the minute, reckon someone is going to cop a battering when they do.

Bus back was straight forward, saw the new wall of supporters photos in the bar which is very impressive. Will be nice to have a home game again soon. Couple of beers in the Vic with Dabbs and Vossy finished the day off for me, decent point that, not two dropped. Onto Wednesday now and Gosport away. Got the battle bus going for that, love it. Hopefully they keep the power on if we go ahead. UTM. Regards, Bu. AB.
